How to read this: rates are the advertised "starting from" rates (checked 2 Nov 2026). Your own rate depends on your credit score and profile. "Interest saved" is the difference in total interest over the full term at a constant rate, with no part-prepayment and without processing fees. This is a guide, not a loan offer.

🧮How it works

📊Where the rates come from

Rates are the “starting from” figures published in public comparison tables (Paisabazaar, UrbanMoney, BankerMart, BankBazaar, Policybazaar, PaisaSeekho and others), checked on 2 Nov 2026. They are not taken from the bank websites. Where the tables disagree, we use the higher figure so your savings are never overstated, and we show the range in red under the rate. Always confirm the current rate on the bank’s own website or at the branch.

Car loan rates differ a lot between sources. For some banks the tables show gaps of 1% or more, often because of different schemes (for example electric cars, salary-account holders or fixed vs floating). Check the exact scheme with the bank.

❓Frequently asked questions

How does this comparison work?
You enter your salary, current EMIs, the loan amount and the tenure. The tool calculates the EMI at each bank's published starting rate, ranks the banks from the lowest rate, and shows the total interest you would pay and how much you save by choosing the cheaper bank. Everything is worked out in your browser.
Is my salary stored or sent anywhere?
No. The numbers you type are used only inside your browser to do the calculation. We do not save them, send them to a server or ask for your phone number.
What share of my salary can go to EMIs?
Banks decide this themselves and it depends on your income, credit score and the loan type. Many banks allow total EMIs of roughly 40% to 55% of net monthly income. The tool uses 50% by default as a rough guide, and you can change it. It is not a loan approval.
Why is my bank's offer different from the rate shown?
The rates shown are the "starting from" rates that banks advertise. The rate you get depends on your credit score, income, loan amount, employer category and the lender's spread. A high credit score (often 750 or more) usually gets the lowest rate. Ask the bank for your exact rate in writing.
Should I enter gross or net salary?
Enter both. The tool uses net (take-home) salary to check what EMI is comfortable, and shows your EMIs against gross salary too, because some banks look at gross income. The bank will ask for salary slips and statements to confirm.
Where do the rates come from?
From the published "starting from" rate tables of public comparison websites (Paisabazaar, UrbanMoney, BankerMart, BankBazaar, Policybazaar, PaisaSeekho and others), checked on 2 Nov 2026. These are not taken from the bank websites. Where the tables disagree, we use the higher figure, so the savings shown are not overstated, and we show the range. Please confirm the current rate on the bank's own website or branch.
Do the savings include processing fees?
No. Savings are the difference in total interest over the loan term, assuming a constant rate and no part-prepayment. Processing fees are shown as an indicative note where known, but they are not added in. Fees and rates change, so confirm them with the bank.
How do I check whether moving my existing loan to another bank is worth it?
Tick "I already have this loan", enter your current rate, the outstanding amount, the remaining years and an estimated switching cost. The tool shows the interest you could save and what is left after the switching cost. A gap of about 0.5% or more between your rate and a new rate is a common rule of thumb for looking at a transfer, but compare the total cost first. Floating-rate loans to individuals generally carry no foreclosure charge under RBI rules, but check your loan agreement, especially for fixed-rate vehicle loans.
